Proverbs (Part IX) Gray Hair

A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother. (15:20)

Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children. (17:6)

Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life. (16:31)

The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old. (20:29)

He who find a wife finds what is good and receives favor from Yahweh. (18:22)

Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh. (19:14)

Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife (21:19)

A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray (12:26)

He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. (13:20)

A friend loves at all times and a brother is born for adversity. (17:17)

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (18:24)

A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold (22:1)

When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous have a refuge. (14:32)

If you falter in times of trouble, how small is your strength! (24:10)

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. (13:12)

Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of Yahweh. (23:17)
