Proverbs (Part III)

Better is open rebuke than hidden love (27:5)

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another (27:17)

Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed (15:22)

Yahweh disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in (3:12)

Whoever loves discipline lovess knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. (12:1)

He who ignores discipline despises himself (15:32a)

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. (22:6)

He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. (28:13)

The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out. (10:9)

Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished. (11:21a)

He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. (21:21)

Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, honor is not fitting for a fool (26:1)
