Sing a song of Zion

Hear my prayer, O YHWH;
       let my cry for help come to you.
Do not hide your face from me
       when I am in distress.
       Turn your ear to me;
       when I call, answer me quickly.

Let this be written for a future generation,
       that a people not yet created may praise YHWH

Psalm 102:1,2,18 NIV

Praise YHWH.
       Give thanks to YHWH, for he is good;
       his love endures forever.

Who can proclaim the mighty acts of YHWH
       or fully declare his praise?

Blessed are they who maintain justice,
       who constantly do what is right.

Remember me, O YHWH, when you show favor to your people,
       come to my aid when you save them,
that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones,
       that I may share in the joy of your nation
       and join your inheritance in giving praise.

Psalm 106:1-5 NIV

By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept
       when we remembered Zion.
There on the poplars
       we hung our harps,
for there our captors asked us for songs,
       our tormentors demanded songs of joy;
       they said, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!"
How can we sing the songs of YHWH
       while in a foreign land?

Psalm 137:1-4 NIV

[Yahweh, may we fully declare your praise.]
